You’ll meet all sorts of people in 12-step meetings during a meth addiction treatment. You may love some of them and hate the others. Whether you care or not, you’ll meet these people who deal with their recovery at different levels.
1.The book thumper: This is someone who always makes it a point to mention readings or passages taken from The Big Book. When attending the 12-step meetings, you will often hear this person bragging about “The Big Book” phrase, and lines from “12 & 12” or “As Bill Sees It.”
2.The 13th stepper: Don’t be carried away with these guys in the 12-step meetings. They are the ones who will try to impress women in the meth addiction treatment programs by their sweet talks and after-meeting coffee dates. They love to date women, particularly who are on their initial 60 days of recovery program.
3.The texter. Another type of people you’ll meet in recovery programs in the rehab center are the ones who are always attached to their phones. You’ll see them with their heads down busy scrolling on their phones to avoid connection with other people. These people in the meth abuse treatment are the ones who often feel scared and anxious of meeting other people in the rehab.
4.The Crier. These types of people are the ones in the meth addiction treatment, who is often seen with their tears on their faces. They rarely smile as they just continue to sob in any meeting or gathering in the rehab facility.
5.The catch-phraser. This person in the 12-step meeting during the treatment for meth abuse would always greet people in the session with inspiring recovery quotes. If you see one person who is hopeful about sobriety and always expects a miracle, this person is none other than the catch-phraser.
6.The topper. If you think that your battle with meth addiction is bad, wait until you meet this person, in the methamphetamine addiction cure. You will hear them, saying that their experience with meth is way too worse than anyone else. If you say that you take 20 doses of meth a day, he’ll say he can take 40. You cannot beat this person when it comes to his drug addiction record.
7.The Pink cloud. You may have probably met Mr. Pink Cloud in the meth addiction treatment meeting, who’s always excited and happy. You would not even think that he had lost his wife, his kids and his job. He’s on the top of the world like he’s always high on meth.
As you deal with your meth addiction treatment in the rehab, you’ll see that one thing that never change is that you’ll see the same types of people in the facility. It’s up to you if you’ll pick up something from them or you’ll just shrug everything off.
